Especially if you are rude or hateful

This is just my take on it.

You can have your religion, whatever it may be. You can be christian, muslim, jewish, buddhist, pagan, etc. But the second you start being rude, forceful, and degrading with your religion.

i.e: saying lgbt+ people shouldn't exist, people of another religion are stupid or less than you, that someone who doesn't follow your world view is going to hell/someplace bad, equating someone's sexuality or gender to serious disgusting crimes like rape or murder theft w/e-- like. you lose my respect and I don't have to support or respect your religion if that's what it stands for. 

all the same, if you "are not obligated to support other religions, someone's sexuality, someone's gender, etc" then they should certainly not be expected to show you that same courtesy. Also, preach love and respect? show love and respect.
